Victorian Cut Glass Oil Lamp
A 19th century Victorian cut glass oil lamp.
The tall lamp has an opaque and ruby glass shade, a circular base with an oval facet cut edge and a hollow nine sided tapering stem.
The oil reservoir bulbous glass bowl is facet cut and has gilt brass fittings that are stamped "Hinks & Son Patent".
The brass wick adjuster has a ceramic centre with "Hinks No 2 Duplex" printed on.
The brass fitting has been converted to take a bulb for an electric light.
The lamp is in good condition and converted to electric but would need re-wiring. (Circa 1870)
