HMS Victory Brass Door Stop
A mid 19th century brass door stop in the shape of Horatio Nelson's flagship HMS Victory.
The door stop or 'porter' has a heavy oblong cast base with the shape of Victory sitting in the waves.
The long handle is made in the style of a spiral rope and has a curled serpent hand grip to the top.
The back of the base is lead filled to give better weight to hold doors open.
The door stop is in very good condition. (Circa 1840)
