Georgian Mahogany Treen Cat
A late 18th to early 19th century Georgian treen mahogany cat.
The cat has three spiral turned supports that are fixed to a central ball.
The tripod base has a baluster shaped spiral support for the ball.
A cat was used in the 18th and early 19th centuries as a plate or bowl stand and sometimes to hold a mirrored glass Witch's ball.
The cat is in good condition with come old repairs and alterations. (Circa 1800)
