Pair of French Face Screen Fans
A pair of 19th century French face screens or fans.
The fans are stained beech or boxwood with shaped panels that are decorated with scenes from the works of Molière on one side and are blank on the other.
One screen has a scene from "L'avare" (The Miser) and the other screen has a scene from "Le Sicilien (The Sicilian).
The screens have finely turned handles and are in good condition but do have some old marks and small chips to the rim. (Circa 1850)
