An early 19th century Sunderland pottery jug with a pink lustre decoration.

The jug has a transfer decoration, the Sunderland bridge built in 1796, the Sailor's Farewell and to the front "Glide on my Bark".

The jug has further decorations of flowers to the inside and outside of the rim and handle.

To the bottom of the front transfer is the maker's name "Scott & Son of Southwick", the Scott family had been producing pottery in Southwick since 1788 and continued on until the late 19th century.

The jug is in very good condition with little wear and the tiniest of nicks to the lustre decoration on the rim. (Circa 1830)
