A late 19th century bone chess set with an unusual roll up chess board.
The chess pieces have been turned and carved out of bone and left white and stained red.
The board is made from segments of mahogany and boxwood with a rosewood edge and is backed with felt and rolls up to store in the coromandel wood veneered box.
The box is lined with coloured paper, the set is in good condition though there is no key to the box. (Circa 1880)
