A 19th century Victorian Toleware coal depot.
The coal box is black with gilt decoration and a shaped eglomise panel on the hinged lid.
The depot is curved in shape with cast metal and bronzed handle decorated with acorns and stands on four bun shaped tole feet.
The depot has a slot at the back to hold it's original shovel that has a pottery handle.
The hinged lid has a very decorative eglomise glass panel in the centre with a picture of a kitten.
The box has a shaped lift out tin liner with two handles and is in good working condition though there is some wear to the tole and gilt decoration. (Circa 1860)
