Edwardian Beech Wood Games Compendium


An early 20th century Edwardian period continental beech wood games compendium.

The box has a hinged lid, a pair of front opening doors and a lift out tray.

The pair of doors store the chess set and in the lid is stored the games board. The board is to use for chess and draughts/checkers on one side and 9 Men's Morris or The Mill Game to the reverse.

The lift out tray hold the draughts or checkers and four boxes each marked with a card suit that hold cards, marbles and shells.

The storage are under the tray holds a box of dominoes, shakers and dice, markers, a bone spinning dice, envelopes with counters and a pair of whist counters.

The box is in good order and has an extra cribbage board added inside. (Circa 1910)
