Edwardian Scottish Sunday Stick
An early 20th century Edwardian Scottish Sunday stick.
The Church of Scotland’s ban on golfing on Sunday, had the effect of the club makers producing walking sticks fashioned with a golf club head as a handle and they became known as 'Sunday Clubs' or 'Sabbath sticks'.
The stick has an 'iron' golf club shaped handle and a mahogany shaft with a brass tip.
The Sunday stick is in good condition. (Circa 1910)
