A late 19th century Scottish Victorian horn snuff mull with a sterling silver hinged lid.

The sterling silver lid is hall marked for Edinburgh with a date letter 'C' for the year 1884-5 and the maker's initials 'J R' for James Robertson.

The lid is beautifully decorated with carved and embossed thistles and a large quartz is mounted in the centre.

The curled horn is a good colour and has a shield mounted on the front with the initials 'A S' engraved on (which could be removed).

The mull is in good condition, the hall marks are on the underside of the lid. (Circa 1884)
