A late 19th century continental porcelain figure of a cow with a milkmaid 'a milking'.

The group shows a milkmaid in a flowered dress and head scarf with a bucket, milking a white and brown cow, all on an oval base.

The group has an anchor mark in gilt on the side, possibly for Samson of Paris, with an impressed figure 8 and the number 42 painted in black underneath.

The figure is in very good condition. (Circa 1890)
