18th Century Spiral Twist Wine Glass

An 18th century Georgian wine glass with an opaque spiral twist stem.

The glass has a round funnel bowl that has writhen decoration at its base, a large slightly raised conical foot and a pontil mark.

The stem has a pair of opaque spiral bands around a vertical gauze stem.

The glass is in very good original condition. (Circa 1760)
