Six Regency Glass Rinsers
A set of six early 19th century Regency period wine glass rinsers or wine glass coolers.
These rinsers have cut glass faceted sides and two shaped lips around the top, ajacent to each other.
These lips are where the stem of the glass would rest and are square cut and faceted while the base of each rinser has a decorative star cut underside.
The original purpose of this item was to clean your wine glasses between courses whilst dining or alternatively to cool your wine glasses for white wine by filling them with ice.
This set has a few minor chips to the top edges, these are photographed and there are no cracks. (Circa 1820)
Height 9.8cm (3.9 inches)
