19th Century Chinese Ivory Panel Box
A fine pair of 19th century Cantonese carved ivory panels set into a later 19th century box.
The ivory carving is three dimensional with a central pastoral scene showing, mountains, foliage and flowers.
The panels are set into the front and hinged lid of a mahogany lined box which is rosewood edged and cross banded with kingwood, ebony and sycamore.
The box is in good condition with a working lock and key and the ivory does have some minor chips and repairs. (Circa 1850 + Later).
