Pair of Satsuma Vases by Kinkozan


A fine pair of late 19th century Japanese Satsuma pottery vases from the Meiji period (1864-1911).

The vases are decorated with one scene, a background of mountains, trees, and a waterfall with Kannon and Rakan (Buddhist monks) in the foreground.

The vases are encircled by a moulded gilded dragon on each vase.

The underside of the vases have a Japanese signature mark for Kinkozan.

The vases are in good condition. (Circa 1890)
