Georgian Oil Painted Miniature Portrait

A Georgian oil painted miniature portrait of a fine Gentleman in a velvet coat wearing a stock and with his hair combed forward, painted on ivory and in a red leather covered case.

The portrait has a gilded metal oval border and velvet backing and has a name ( We think the name is ? Cormack ???? ) and the date 1814 written on the back.

The portrait is in good condition with some wear to the case and the front is loose at the hinge to the back.
