An early 19th century William IV sterling silver hall marked vinaigrette.

The vinaigrette has the assay marks for Birmingham, the year 1837 and the maker's mark for Taylor & Perry.

The hall marks are inside the lid and interior in two places.

The vinaigrette is decorated with bright cut scrolling leaf decoration, the top of the lid has a shield in the centre bearing the initials 'R E' or 'E R'.

The interior has a silver gilt decoration and the vinaigrette is in very good condition. (Circa 1837)
