Limoges Martial Redan Dessert Service
A late 19th century 18 piece French Limoges porcelain dessert service.
The six comports and twelve plates are all marked with the 'MR' mark for Martial Redan.
The twelve plates are scallop shaped with a pierced left hand edge and are decorated with flowers, foliage, gilt highlights and rims.
The six comports or serving dishes are made in three pairs: two heart shaped comports on pierced triangular raised feet, two leaf shaped dishes with a scroll handle and two very rococo shaped dishes with scroll handles.
The comports are all decorated with flowers, foliage, gilt highlights and rims.
The dessert service is in very good condition apart from one rococo shaped dish has a chip near the scroll handle. (Circa 1891)
