An 18th century Chinese Nanking porcelain octagonal shaped tureen and lid.
The tureen base has a pair of blue painted pig head handles while the body is decorated with a Chinese scene of a fisherman on a lake with birds overhead along with several houses and willow trees.
The domed lid has a flower decoration to the edge and the handle seems to be a pomegranate.
The tureen is in good condition though it has a couple of minor chips to the rim where the lid sits and the lid has a part of a leaf on the pomegranate handle missing. (Circa 1780)
