18th Century Chippendale Corner Cabinet

An 18th century George III Chippendale mahogany wall hanging corner cabinet.

The cabinet has a ten glazed panel door with Gothic design astragals, a working lock and key and an original gilt brass rococo escutcheon.

The overhanging cornice has a thumb mould edge, a dental mould over teardrop mouldings and a blind fret frieze.

The upright frame each side of the door is fluted with stops at the bottom.

The interior of the cabinet has three original serpentine fronted fixed shelves.

This very good example of an 18th century Chippendale cabinet and in good condition. (Circa 1770)
