18th Century Style Bracket Clock

A late 19th century inlaid mahogany 18th century style bracket clock.

The clock has an eight day striking movement and the case has marquetry inlay to the front of musical instruments and foliage and box wood line inlays.

The clock has an embossed brass top with a hinged carrying handle, brass finials and brass ball feet and the sides and rear door have pierced brass grilles.

The clock has an eight day French movement by 'S Marti et Cie' for Samuel Marti and strikes a coiled gong on the hour and half hour.

The dial is white enamel decorated with swags of flowers and the hands are gilt brass and pierced.

The clock is in very good condition and comes with a one year guarantee. (Circa 1890)
