19th Century Fusee Wall Clock

Mid 19th century mahogany drop case wall clock with an 8 day fusee time piece movement.

The case has a circular dial with a drop box below with a glazed pendulum viewing window.

The sides of the case are decorated with mahogany carved brackets in the shape of grapes and vines.

The white dial has black Roman numerals and BATES STALHAM on the face ( most likely the retailer of the clock or premises it was made for) .

The 8 day fusee movement has a brass faced pendulum with when working can be viewed through the front glazed panel.
