A very pretty Royal Worcester china teapot.

This teapot is clearly marked with the Royal Worcester factory stamp, of, we believe 1891.

The company changed the stamps in this year and for this year only, there was no date markings on Royal Worcester items. After this year, the factory began using a complex dot and star system beneath the Worcester mark to specify date of manufacture.

The teapot is complete with its original lid and decorated with a gilt painted handle as well as matching floral decoration to the surface.

The body of the teapot is decorated with floral painted decoration and a peachy cream coloured base shade. The spout, handle, rim of top and base are all painted with decorative gilt.

The teapot is in very good condition, with no visible chips or cracks and well preserved painted decoration. (Circa 1891)
