A mid 19th century Anglo Indian ebony, quill and ivory desk top bookstand.
The bookstand has an ebony base and top rail that are finely inlaid with ivory, along with ivory front and back pillars, finials and bun feet.
The back and sides are made up from 55 porcupine quills.
This very decorative bookstand is in very good original condition. (Circa 1850)
