A late 19th century Dutch brass bound mahogany peat or oyster bucket.
The bucket has a brass interior with broad brass banding top and bottom and three narrow bands around the centre.
The edge of the bucket is lower in the centre and has a swing handle hinged from the higher end.
The bucket is in good condition and would make an excellent waste paper basket or magazine stand. (Circa 1890)
