Early 20th Century Revolving Bookstand
An early 20th century mahogany revolving bookstand.
The bookstand is unusual from most as the outer frame stands still and the centre book rack revolves.
The frame has a carved Greek key decoration to the top frieze and fret corner brackets to the short legs that have pottery and brass casters.
The centre revolving book rack is in two tiers and four sides, made to take medium to small sized books and the corners of the bookstand are decoratively turned pillars.
The bookstand is made of solid mahogany and is very well made, the revolving action is in good working order. (Circa 1920)
