Edwardian Mahogany Cylinder Desk

A late 19th to early 20th century Edwardian period mahogany cylinder desk.

The desk is satinwood cross banded and inlaid, the cylinder itself is satinwood cross banded and has an oval fan inlay in the centre.

The desk has three oak lined drawers with brass swan neck handles, satinwood cross banding and fan inlays in the corners.

The desk when open has four ash wood fronted drawers and three pigeon holes all above three dummy drawer fronts and a leather covered writing board that slides forward.

The top of the desk has a low moulded mahogany gallery and the desk stands on shaped bracket feet.

The desk has a key and is in good condition with a slight shrinkage mark to the left of the writing surface. (Circa 1900)
