George IV Burr Elm Box Desk
An early 19th century George IV burr elm veneered traveling or box desk.
The box has original gilt brass ring handles to the sides and a working lock and key.
The interior has a writing surface covered in its original blue leather that has a gilt tooled edge.
The box has stationery storage areas underneath each writing surface, a pen tray at the front edge and a pounce pot with a Sheffield plate top.
The box is in good condition but does have marks and signs of use over the years. (Circa 1830)
