George IV Mahogany Centre Table

An early 19th century George IV mahogany centre table.

The table has a 'fiddleback' mahogany top with a square edge, a shallow cross grained frieze and a beaded edge.

The platform base is triangular and raised on large moulded edge bun feet with concealed casters underneath.

The centre column is decorated with lappet carving and has a fluted collar around the base.

The top has removable brass pins fastening it to the base and is designed to tip and can be removed.

The table is made from quality timber and is in excellent condition having had the polish sympathetically restored.
