George IV Marble Top Console Table

An early 19th century George IV mahogany marble top console table.

The base is veneered in very good quality flamed mahogany and has an original mirror plate back panel.

The console has bun feet to the front and block back feet which lift the base that has a concave front and square sided cabriole front legs.

The front legs have a turned patera to the side of the top and a carved lappet decoration.

The frieze below the marble top has a moulded top edge, a square mould to the lower edge and vertical flamed mahogany veneers.

The loose fitting marble top is a sandy colour with a figured grain and red coloured veins.

The console is in very good condition, the mirrored back panel does have some spotting. (Circa 1840)
