George IV Rosewood Cellaret
An early 19th century George IV rosewood sarcophagus shaped cellaret.
The cellaret is raised on low bun feet and has shell shaped ring carrying handles.
To the front are reeded bead geometric detail and the lid has sloping sides and a flat oblong top.
The interior has divisions to hold nine bottles that could measure up to 34cm in height.
The hinged lid has a retaining strap to prevent over-extension of the hinge.
The cellaret is in very good condition. (Circa 1825)
