Georgian Concertina Action Dining Table

An early 19th century Georgian mahogany drop leaf Pembroke style dining table.

The table drop leaves are supported by two flaps at each end and when extended will accommodate two large leaves.

The folding concertina frame has a central leg that gives very good support for the leaves.

The slender turned mahogany legs have their original gilt brass casters.

The side frieze has an ebony and box wood line inlay to its lower edge.

This table is very flexible and can be used with just the flaps raised, with a single leaf or with two.

When the leaves are in place the table is held together by gilt brass clips that make it very stable.

The table is in very good condition with an easy to use action.

When fully extended the table could comfortably seat 10 people. (Circa 1810)
