Georgian Gilt Overmantel Mirror
An early 19th century Georgian gilt wood and gesso overmantel mirror.
The mirror has an overhanging cornice decorated with gilt wood balls above a frieze of gilt flowers and scrolls.
The frame holds three mirror plates flanked with cluster columns that have acanthus capitals and the frame rests on four gilt wood balls.
The back of the mirror has been covered with a 1940's (dated) fibre board.
The mirror is in good original condition but does have some chips to the corners and gilding. (Circa 1820)
