Georgian Hepplewhite Gentleman's Wardrobe

A late 18th to early 19th century Georgian mahogany Hepplewhite Gentleman's wardrobe.

The wardrobe has a cupboard top with a pair of doors that have recessed figured mahogany panels and a cross grained frieze to the flared cornice.

The chest base has two short drawers over two long that are oak and beech wood lined with a cock bead edge and original gilt brass swan neck handles.

The chest stands on kick out French feet and the frieze between them is shaped and boxwood line inlaid.

The wardrobe is in good condition and at one time would have held five linen trays that are no longer there.

A modern brass rail has been fitted to take coat hangers. (Circa 1800)
