Georgian Mahogany Breakfront Wardrobe

An early 19th century Georgian mahogany breakfront wardrobe.

The wardrobe consists full length clothes hanging cupboards at each of the break back ends and a two door  centre cupboard for hanging above three long drawers.

The cupboard ends have dummy drawer fronts to the base with the centre panels above decorated with a reeded moulding that has fleur de lis carvings in the corners.

Inside the right hand cupboard it is also fitted to take four adjustable shelves if that use was needed instead of hanging.

The centre wardrobe has a pair of doors enclosing hanging space inside. The cupboard would have held four sliding linen shelves, only one still available to use.

The chest below has three long mahogany and oak lined drawers with their original gilt brass knob handles.
The wardrobe has a very decorative cornice that has figured mahogany veneered panels, honey suckle decorative carvings and a pair of scrolling finials.

The wardrobe dismantles into four parts for transport. An unusual good quality mahogany wardrobe which has been priced to include some extra sympathetic restoration.
