Georgian Mahogany Dwarf Cabinet Bookcase
An early 19th century Georgian mahogany dwarf cabinet bookcase.
The cabinet top has a pair of glazed doors, inside is a single adjustable shelf and the very top has a low mahogany gallery with ebony line inlay.
The bookcase is decorated with ebony reeding to the glazed cupboard doors and edges.
The cupboard base has an oak lined drawer with oval brass handles and ebony bead detailing.
The pair of cupboard doors have a central figured mahogany panel bordered by a reeded ebony moulding and the two doors open to a pair of adjustable shelves with a reeded front edge.
The bookcase sits on turned tapering short legs and is made from very fine quality mahogany and is in good original condition.As can be seen in the photos even the back panels are made from good quality mahogany.
