Gilt Metal and Alabaster Mantel Clock

A late 19th century French gilt metal time piece on an alabaster base with a glass dome.

The clock has a figure of a farmer casting out seeds with his right hand and a collage of farm produce and tools to his left.

The clock has a single keyhole for the eight day works and is a time piece so it does not strike.

The alabaster pedestal has gilt metal mounts, feet and a chain as a decoration and the clock sits under a glass dome that has an ebonised wood oval base. (Circa 1880)
