Marquetry Inlaid Wardrobe By Heal & Son
A late 19th century mahogany and marquetry inlaid mirror door wardrobe.
The wardrobe has a metal plate on the back "Heal & Son 196 Tottenham Ct Road London".
The wardrobe is mahogany with broad satinwood cross banding and marquetry inlays, with a pair of inlaid urns to the top cabinet doors.
The wardrobe comprises a large hanging space behind the mirror door, a cabinet over four small drawers with four large drawers underneath.
All the drawers have mahogany linings and brass ring handles.
Inside the cabinet is a single loose shelf and the space beneath the four small drawers is mirror backed.
The wardrobe has fluted panels to the front and a shaped moulding below the cornice.
The wardrobe is designed to break down into five parts for removal, the price includes a tidy up of minor marks to the mahogany before delivery. (Circa 1880)
