A pair of 18th century George III mahogany chairs.

The chairs have drop in spats covered in a needlework material, a straight top rail with a moulded edge and a pierced broad centre splat.

The moulded edge is repeated around the seat edge and the side rails to the back.

The chair legs are square with a chamfered inner edge and are joined with an 'H' shaped cross stretcher, the back legs are joined by a single stretcher.

The chairs are made from very good quality mahogany and are in good condition, the seat frames have later corner blocks fitted. (Circa 1780)
