Pair of Gilt Wood Mirrors


A pair of late 19th century Victorian oval gilt wood and gesso wall mirrors.

The mirror frames have tongue and dart detail to the inner edge and a spiral detail to the raised edge with crossed ribbons to the top and bottom centres.

The outer concave edge has a trellis pattern with flowers in the centre.

The mirrors are hung portrait but could be hung landscape if you wished.

The frames are in original condition with a small chip to one of the ribbons and the mirror plates are replacements.

This item has been used as a prop in the television detective drama "VERA" which is mostly filmed in Northumberland. The episode it will appear in "Blood Money" will be shown in 2020.
