A pair of early 19th century Regency papier-mâché bottle coasters.
The coasters have a black lacquered finish and are decorated with what looks like gilt shamrocks and two panels of scroll decoration.
The coasters are in good condition with some wear to the gilt and a small repair to a nick on the edge which is just visible.
The coasters also have old baize to the underside.
