Regency Mahogany Grandfather Clock

An early 19th century Regency mahogany & kingwood painted dial Grandfather clock.

The clock has an eight day movement that strikes the hour on a bell, a circular dial with Roman numeral and the back is marked Finniemore.

William Finniemore was a Birmingham clock dial maker who died in 1838.

The clock case has been constructed from very good quality mahogany with kingwood cross banding and veneered panels.

The panel below the long door has partridge wood veneer and the clock base is mahogany cross banded.

The clock case and hood are decorated at the outer edge with turned quarter columns.

The hood has a domed top with a central carved fret detail and three brass ball finials.

The Grandfather clock is in very good working condition. (Circa 1825)
