Regency Mahogany Tray Wardrobe

An early 19th century Regency mahogany two door tray wardrobe.

The wardrobe consists of a two door cupboard top fitted with three oak and mahogany sliding trays and a two over two drawer chest base.

The front of the wardrobe has a pair of mahogany veneers that run and match through the doors and drawer fronts.

The frames of the doors are quarter veneered and ebony has been used as a bead to the inner edge of the panel doors, the corner decorations, below the cornice and above the splayed feet.

The drawers are oak lined and have a cock beaded edge and old replacement brass handles.

The wardrobe is in good original condition though the front is slightly faded with time.

The tips of the front feet have had minor restoration and inside the cupboard top is a brass hanging rail if you wish to remove the trays and have a hanging space. (Circa 1820)
