Regency Rosewood Console Table

An early 19th century Regency rosewood console table with a painted faux marble top.

The table consists of a pair of beautifully carved rosewood cabriole legs with scroll carvings at the top and bottom, a carved acanthus and what looks like a honeysuckle carved detail to the back of the leg.

The legs stand on an oblong base and have a frieze above which holds the top.

The top is wood with a pale yellow colour faux marble decoration and the back supports are flat with a recessed panel.

The console table is in good condition.

This item has been used as a prop in the television detective drama "VERA" which is mostly filmed in Northumberland. The episode it will appear in "Blood Money" will be shown in 2020.
