An early 19th century Regency yew wood veneered jewel casket.

The casket has a box wood edge and a cross banded lid with a central transfer decorative panel of a lady with a child on her knee.

The box has gilded brass hairy paw feet and rosette backed ring handles.

The interior has a lift out tray with a division and is paper and red velvet lined.

The box if in good original condition, the transfer decoration does show signs of wear and the tray has been re-lined with red velvet. (Circa 1820)
