Roberson & Co Mahogany Artist's Easel

A late 19th century mahogany artist's easel by Roberson & Co.

The easel folds flat and has a hinged back leg support which has a brass chain restraint.

The top of the frame has an inlaid silver metal disk with the maker's name "Roberson & Co 99 Long Acre London".

Roberson & Co were founded in London in the year 1810 and still exist today but in a different location.

The picture rest to the front has a long box below with a hinged front lid to store equipment.

The picture rest frame has a long range of adjustments and a brass catch allows the frame to slide up and down the easel.

The easel is in very good original condition though the lock to the storage box is missing. (Circa 1880)
