Rosewood Turn Over Top Writing Table
A mid 19th century Victorian rosewood serpentine front turn over top table.
The table top revolves and opens out to a serpentine sided table.
The table has a slim drawer below the top that is fitted with a writing board that still has its original red leather writing surface and a pen and ink storage to the right.
The writing board lifts to store items underneath and can be rested on the top edge to have an angled writing or reading surface.
Below the slim drawer are a pair of cedar wood and ash lined drawers with turned rosewood knob handles.
The table base has twin supports ends with open fretwork decoration and short cabriole legs with casters and are joined by a spiral carved rosewood stretcher.
The table is in good condition with some marks to the rosewood veneer from use. (Circa 1860)
