Satinwood & Mahogany Sheraton Sideboard


An early 20th century Edwardian Sheraton style sideboard.

The sideboard is mahogany with satinwood cross banding, drawer fronts and oval panels.

The sideboard has a broad satinwood cross banding to the top with an outer rosewood cross banding and string inlays.

The front comprises four drawers and a concaved pair of cupboard doors.

The upper drawers are satinwood fronted with kingwood cross banding and string inlays.

The right hand bow fronted drawer is a double depth drawer.

The lower drawer fronts and cupboard doors have oval satinwood panels, kingwood cross banding and string inlays.

The drawers have thick solid oak linings and oval gilt brass handles and brass locks stamped 'Nettlefold's Patent Lever'.

The sideboard stands on six square tapering box wood strung legs with spay toes.

The sideboard is exceptional quality and in very good original condition and has a key for the cupboard doors. (Circa 1900)
