Set of Six 18th Century Hepplewhite Chairs


A fine set of late 18th century mahogany Hepplewhite dining chairs.

The chairs consist of four single chairs and a pair of elbow chairs.

The chairs have square backs with a fine reeded edge carving at the top and a reeded front profile.

The front legs are square tapering and with a spayed toe, the back legs are square and all the legs are joined with cross stretchers.

The pair of elbow chairs have a shaped arm and a concave support.

The chairs are in good original condition and made from very good quality mahogany with a good colour.

The chairs have loose pad seat which will need to be re-upholstered. (Circa 1795)
