Six Napoleonic War Officer Prints

A set of six aquatints of military commanders from the Napoleonic War.

The bottom of 2 prints state "Published 18th May 1815 by Richard Evans, Whites Row, Spittalfields" which was a month before the Battle of Waterloo.

The prints are titled "WmFred King of Prussia, Alexander 1st Emperor of All The Russians, Bernadotte Crown Prince of Sweeden, Lieut General Tho's Picton, Lieut General Lord Hill K.B and The Prince of Orange".

An interesting point of all the prints is that all of the Officers are of larger scale compared to their horses.

The prints are held in later wood frames are beautifully grain painted "faux walnut" with gold lines and coloured slips and mounts.

The aquatints are in good condition, the frames have some minor nicks to the painted edges. (Circa 1815)
